Specifically designed for pistols, the HE509T-RD features an enclosed design that protects the emitter within sealed tubes, so it can’t be obscured by water, mud, and dust. The body is made from Holosun’s Grade 5 titanium, which provides more than double the tensile strength and as high as 5X the fatigue strength of aluminum. It’s a tough Red Dot Sight, but what’s on the inside is what matters. Inside the HE509T are a few of Holosun’s most advanced technologies. The first and most important feature is Solar Failsafe, which uses ambient light to power the Sight in the event of a battery failure. Following that is Shake Awake technology, which ‘wakes’ the Sight at the slightest movement and turns it off when inactive. When ‘awake’, the 509T gives you the option of a 2 MOA Red Dot or a 32 MOA Circle Dot. All of this adds up to one of the best dedicated pistol micro Reflex Sights Holosun has to offer.
